Market Depot

Open your shop at the depot, close the client and keep selling.

Available on Antica Retro (PvP) (Live on this world) Antica Retro Non-PvP (Live on this world)

Your shop at the depot, even offline

With the Market Depot your character becomes a merchant: it stays still at the depot, with a balloon over its head, and other players buy from it even while you are offline. You can sell at a fixed price, sell runes and fluids in packs of up to 20, receive bids and set up a buy balloon with the items you are looking for.

Inspired by the player shops of other 7.4 servers, but with bids, buy balloons, packs and delivery to the depot.

What it is

You open a shop at the depot and can close the client. The character stays in place, like a merchant, with a balloon over its head, until the scroll time runs out or you close the shop.

Meanwhile, other players visit the shop, see the items and the price of each one, buy, place bids or sell you the items you asked for in the buy balloon. The money goes to your bank and the bought item arrives by parcel at the depot.

The two scrolls

Shop time comes from the Market Depot Scroll. There are two, with the same picture. The difference is how many items you can put up for sale (and the Store price):

How to activate

  1. Buy the scroll in the in-game Store, category Auxiliares.
  2. Use the scroll, or click Ativar scroll (activate scroll) in the Market Depot panel. With both scrolls in the backpack, the button opens a menu so you can pick one.
  3. The plan starts right away: 48 straight hours, with 10 or 15 slots. The panel shows the plan and the time left (e.g. Plano: 15 slots, termina em 1d 20h).
  4. When the time runs out, the plan goes back to "none" and the shop closes by itself. The next scroll you use decides the plan.

Tip: the 48 hours run with the shop open or closed, with you online or offline. Activate the scroll only when you are about to open the shop.

One plan at a time: the 6-hour rule

You can only have one active plan. With the 10-slot one active you cannot activate a 15-slot one on top of it, and vice versa, until you reach the last 6 hours.

  • More than 6 hours left: any scroll (same or different) is refused and not used up. You see, for example: Seu Market Depot de 10 slots ainda tem 20h00m. So da para usar outro scroll nas ultimas 6 horas.
  • Last 6 hours: the panel says Voce ja pode renovar com outro scroll. (you can renew now) and the Ativar scroll button works again.
  • In the last 6 hours, using a scroll (same or different) overwrites the plan: the new type (10 or 15 slots) takes effect at once and the time becomes what was left + 48 h. You do not lose the remaining hours.
  • Switching from 15 to 10 with more than 10 items for sale is refused: Tire itens da loja ate ficar com 10 ou menos para usar o scroll de 10 slots. You keep the scroll.
  • Scrolls do not stack: the maximum is about 54 hours (up to 6 h left + 48 h).

Step-by-step example

  1. Monday, 10 amYou activate the 10-slot scroll. Plan: 10 slots, 48 h.
  2. 20 h leftYou try the 15-slot scroll: refused, because more than 6 h are left. The 15-slot scroll stays in your backpack.
  3. 5 h leftYou are in the last 6 hours: the panel shows Voce ja pode renovar com outro scroll.
  4. Use the 15 oneThe plan becomes 15 slots at once, with 5 h + 48 h = 53 h.
  5. Or another 10 oneThat works too: you keep 10 slots and get the same 53 h.

How to open your shop

  1. Activate a scroll (above) and go to a city depot. Stand on an allowed spot (see "Spot rules").
  2. Right-click your character and choose Market Depot. The panel opens with the plan, the slots in use (e.g. Venda (12/15)) and the tabs Venda (sell), Compra (buy), Lances (bids) and Historico (history).
  3. Set up the sale and, if you want, the buy balloon (below). Write the balloon text: up to 30 characters, no accents.
  4. Click Abrir loja (open shop). Done: the character becomes a merchant, with the balloon over its head.
  5. If the spot is not allowed, the panel shows the reason in orange before you click (e.g. another shop next to you). Take a step and try again.

Sell tab

  • Drag the item from your backpack to the frame, or right-click the item and choose Por no Market Depot.
  • Type the price per unit (at least 10 gp) and the amount and click Por a venda. Listing is free; the fee is only taken when it sells (see "Fee and price").
  • Each item takes 1 slot of the plan (10 or 15); a stack counts as 1. Runes and fluids go into packs of up to 20 (see "Packs").
  • The item leaves your backpack and is kept in the market box. Preco changes the price and Retirar sends the item straight back to this city's depot.
  • Containers (bags, backpacks) only when empty. Items and orders can only change with the shop closed.

Buy tab (the buy balloon)

  • Type the item name, the price you pay per unit and the amount. Up to 10 orders.
  • When you open the shop, the total money of the orders is reserved: it leaves the bank (and the backpack, if needed) at once. When you close the shop, what is left goes back to the bank.
  • Whoever has the item sells it to you straight through the shop, and the item arrives by parcel at the depot of the shop's city.

With the shop open

  • The balloon always stays over your character's head, for everyone to see: Vende, Compra or Vende/Compra and the shop text. Clicking the balloon opens the shop.
  • The character stays still at the depot and does not walk. If you try to walk, you get the warning Sua loja esta aberta. Feche a loja para andar (botao direito no personagem > Fechar loja). (your shop is open; close it to walk)
  • You can log out and close the client: the shop keeps selling, with the character in the same place.
  • When you log in again on the same character, the balloon comes back over its head and the Market Depot panel opens by itself, with the bids that arrived while you were away.
  • After the server save, the shop usually comes back by itself, in the same place, with the items and the balloon.
  • Items and orders only change with the shop closed. You can change the balloon text at any time.
  • Nobody can push the shop character. One open shop per account, and it does not count toward the characters-per-IP or per-account limit: you can play another character while it sells.

Rune and fluid packs

Runes, mana fluid and life fluid do not use one slot per unit: they go into a pack of up to 20 identical units in 1 slot. Identical means the same item with the same charges (a great fireball rune with 4 charges does not go into a pack of 2-charge GFBs) or the same fluid (mana does not mix with life).

For the seller

  • Put the rune or fluid up for sale like any item, with the amount in the field (up to 20). The price is per unit.
  • Under the row, the pack's little container opens, with the counter (e.g. 6/20). Drag more identical units into it.
  • Tirar (take out) removes units from the pack: they go straight back to this city's depot, without a parcel.
  • A different item is refused, for example: Item diferente: este pacote so aceita great fireball runes (4 cargas).

For the buyer

  • In the shop, the pack shows the icon, the amount (e.g. x12) and the price per unit.
  • Comprar (buy) opens the amount selector: a slider, - and +, and the total (e.g. 6 x 120 gp = 720 gp). Click Confirmar (confirm).
  • You pay per unit and receive the amount you bought by parcel at the depot. The pack shrinks in the same slot; when empty, the slot is free.
  • Packs take no bids: direct purchase only.

Other items work as before: 1 per slot. A stackable item (bolts, arrows, coins...) goes whole into one slot, and the stack counts as 1.

Fee and price

  • Listing is free: putting an item up for sale, adding units to a pack or changing the price takes nothing from your bank.
  • On the sale: you get the price minus 10% in the bank. This applies to direct purchases, accepted bids and sales to a buy request.
  • The buyer pays only the listed price, no fee.
  • Minimum price: 10 gp per item or per unit.
  • Cancelling or taking back a listing costs nothing: the item goes straight back to this city's depot.
  • The minimum price and the actions-per-second limit prevent spam listings.
  • Whoever pays uses the bank first and completes with the backpack. The fee leaves the game: it goes to nobody.

How to buy

Go to the depot, right-click the merchant and choose Ver loja (view shop), or click its balloon. You see the items, the price per unit and the shop text. You can do three things:

1Buy

  • You pay the listed price, no fee.
  • Stackable items can be bought in part (e.g. 30 out of 100 bolts).
  • Rune or fluid pack: pick the amount in the selector and pay per unit.
  • You cannot buy from your own shop or from another character of the same account.

2Place a bid

  • An offer below the price, for the whole lot. E.g. dragon lance at 50k, bid of 45k.
  • The bid money is reserved.
  • If the seller accepts, the item goes to the depot of the shop's city.
  • If they refuse, close the shop, take the item back or sell to someone else, the money returns to your bank.
  • Up to 10 bids per item; one per player on each item. Packs take no bids.

3Sell to a buy balloon

  • If you have the requested item, click Vender (sell).
  • The item leaves your backpack (never what you are wearing) and goes to the depot of the shop's city, for the owner.
  • You get paid in the bank.

4Where your purchase arrives

  • Everything arrives by parcel at the depot, with a Market Depot letter.
  • Fixed-price purchase (item or pack): at the depot of the shop's city, the depot you are in.
  • Accepted bid: also at the depot of the shop's city.
  • It arrives even when the depot is full.

The path of a bid

How to close the shop

Closing the shop always works, at any time and from anywhere, in two ways:

  1. In the Market Depot panel, click Fechar loja (close shop).
  2. Or right-click your character and choose Fechar loja. This option shows up whenever your shop is open.

When you close the shop (or the time runs out)

  • The character walks normally again. If you had no client open, it leaves the game.
  • The money reserved for buy orders returns to your bank.
  • Bids that were still open are cancelled and the money returns to whoever placed them.
  • The items for sale stay stored in the market box.
  • To cancel a listing, use Retirar (or Tirar, in a pack): the item goes straight back to this city's depot, without a parcel, and it costs nothing.

Spot rules

The shop only opens inside a city depot, on a spot that follows these rules:

  • the Market Depot option only shows up in the depot; outside it the option does not even appear, and the server refuses;
  • near a depot locker (up to 6 sqm), in a protection zone and outside houses;
  • not right next to a locker nor on the only path to its front, so you do not block anyone's locker;
  • no other shop on the 8 surrounding sqm (right, left, north, south and diagonals): leave 1 free sqm between shops, so the balloons fit side by side;
  • with the 8 surrounding sqm inside the depot: you cannot open on the edge, next to the sqm outside the depot (which is already PvP);
  • if the panel is open and you leave the depot (e.g. teleport), it closes by itself;
  • Fechar loja works from anywhere.

Setting up items and orders can be done on any depot sqm; only opening the shop checks these rules.

Shops at the depot with 1 free sqm between them and a player walking by
In-game screenshot: shops keep 1 free sqm between them, and other players walk through the depot as usual.

Stamina

While the shop is open, stamina regenerates 10% faster. The depot is already a protection zone, where stamina already regenerates; with the shop, it regenerates a bit more.

History

The Historico tab shows the character's last 20 sales and purchases.

Security

  • Everything is checked on the server: price, amount, charges, balance and the spot.
  • Whoever gives (the money or the item) is saved before the other side receives.
  • Two people buying from the same pack at the same time: one purchase runs after the other, no duplication.
  • Every sale is logged.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to stay online to sell?

No. Open the shop, log out and close the client: the character stays at the depot selling. The money from sales goes to your bank.

What is the difference between the two scrolls?

Only the number of items for sale and the price: the 10-slot one costs 2 points and the 15-slot one costs 3 points. Both give 48 straight hours and 10 buy orders.

I have the 10-slot one active. Can I activate the 15-slot one now?

Only in the last 6 hours of the plan. Before that the scroll is refused and not used up. In the last 6 hours it overwrites the plan: it becomes 15 slots at once, with the time that was left + 48 h.

Does the scroll time stop when I close the shop or log out?

No. The 48 hours run straight from activation, with the shop open or closed, with you online or offline.

Can I stack several scrolls?

No. One plan at a time; renewing only in the last 6 hours, and the time becomes what was left + 48 h (at most about 54 h).

I am on the 15-slot plan with 12 items. Can I renew with the 10-slot one?

Only after taking items out until you have 10 or fewer. Before that the 10-slot scroll is refused and you keep it.

The Market Depot option does not show up in the menu. Why?

It only shows up inside a city depot (or when your shop is already open). Outside the depot the option disappears, and the server refuses to open the panel.

Why does my character not walk?

Because the shop is open: the merchant stays still at the depot. Close the shop (Fechar loja in the panel or in the right-click menu) and it walks again.

How much fee do I pay?

Only 10% on the sale. Listed for 1,000: when it sells, you receive 900. Listing is free, and the buyer pays 1,000.

Does cancelling a listing cost anything?

No. The item goes straight back to this city's depot, without a parcel, and no fee is charged.

Can I sell 20 runes in a single slot?

Yes: runes with the same charges, mana fluid and life fluid go into packs of up to 20 units in 1 slot. The buyer picks how many they want.

Can I bid on a pack?

No. Packs are direct purchase only, at the price per unit.

Where do I receive the item I bought?

By parcel at the depot, even when the depot is full. Fixed-price purchase or accepted bid: always at the depot of the shop's city, never at the home town.

Why can I not open the shop here?

The spot must follow the "Spot rules": inside the depot, near a locker, not in front of it, no other shop on the 8 surrounding sqm and away from the edge. The panel shows the reason.

What about the server save, with my shop open?

The shop usually comes back by itself after the server save, on the same sqm, with the items and the balloon. The scroll time keeps running.

What happens when the time runs out?

The shop closes by itself, as if you had clicked Fechar loja. The items stay in the market box; take them out at the depot. If you had no client open, the character leaves the game.
